I want to bring my own AI keys
Use your Anthropic / OpenAI / Gemini bill. Not ours, marked up.
Why bother
Most repair-shop SaaS bills AI usage at 5–20× the underlying cost. We don’t. You pay the provider directly (typically $5–15/month for a one-shop workload), and we charge a flat platform fee, no per-message surcharge.
How
Get a key from anthropic.com / platform.openai.com / aistudio.google.com. Settings → AI keys → paste under the right provider → Save. We encrypt it with AES-256-GCM and store the ciphertext per-tenant. The plaintext key never leaves our server logs (we don’t log it) and never touches the browser.
Rotating a key
Same page. Paste a new value over the old one. The new key takes effect on the next AI call. Audit log captures the rotation event (not the key value).
What if I don’t want to use AI at all
Don’t connect a key. Every AI-using feature in Benchworks is opt-in and degrades gracefully — you’ll just see a static message instead of an AI-drafted reply.
